Enhancing Capabilities of the Techman Arm

The Applied Integration (AI) team have been working on developing the Techman Robot Arm to show that we can repurpose equipment beyond their original uses and enhance their capabilities.

The Process

Our software engineers have created a remote controller for the Techman Robot Arm and the Radwag Analytical Balance. It is responsible for communicating directly to the equipment as well as instructing them to perform tasks in the correct sequential order.

The Outcome

The end goal is to automate large parts of the manufacturing and testing processes within the lab, so that a worker would be able to use their phone to tell the facility to “Make a tablet”. This will increase productivity and efficiency within the lab which will therefore future proof systems. On a large scale, the whole activity will be optimised with machine learning, to improve and streamline the process.
