Transyt System – Intelligent Control for AMR Fleets

In the rapidly advancing world of automation, Applied Integration has developed the Transyt System, a purpose-built interface designed to seamlessly connect AMR Fleet Manager software with autonomous mobile robots (AMRs). The solution provides a single, intuitive platform for monitoring, mission control and operational decision-making, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insight.

The Transyt System consists of two tightly integrated components: the Transyt Web Service and the Transyt Application.

Transyt Web Service

At the core of the system is the Transyt Web Service, which acts as the central coordination layer between the Fleet Manager software and the AMR fleet. It continuously tracks robot status and mission queues, ensuring that communication between systems is reliable and real time.

The service gathers and manages key operational data from the fleet server, including each AMR’s identity, IP address, battery level and availability. This live information provides the foundation for accurate mission allocation and system-wide visibility.

Transyt Application

The Transyt Application presents this data through a clean, graphical user interface designed for operators working on the shop floor. It gives an immediate visual overview of the location and status of every AMR, enabling faster and more informed decisions.

To reduce the risk of errors, the application prompts operators to confirm mission selections before execution. If a mission is already active on another AMR, the user is notified and asked to confirm whether the task should be re-queued. This prevents duplicate calls and unnecessary congestion in the mission schedule.

Beyond mission control, the application also supports pallet and trolley management. Operators can assign rack statuses and request pickups directly through the interface, streamlining material handling and improving overall workflow efficiency.

User Roles

The system is designed around two primary user roles. Operators manage day-to-day activity, initiating missions and confirming pallet loading and unloading. Engineers are provided with expanded access, allowing them to configure tablet locations and make higher-level operational and strategic adjustments.

Results and Benefits

The Transyt System enables operators to request and manage AMR missions with confidence, supported by intelligent safeguards that minimise human error and operational disruption. Inventory movement and trolley management are integrated into the same interface, reducing complexity and improving productivity. The result is a more responsive, transparent and controlled AMR operation.

Garry Lofthouse, CEO of Applied Integration, commented:
“I’m thrilled to be part of a design team that embraces challenges, crafting intuitive apps and cultivating innovative solutions that redefine how we harness information. By transforming data for AMRs, we are driving innovation forward with pride.”

Conclusion

The Transyt System is more than an application. It is a unifying platform that connects AMR Fleet Manager software with autonomous robots to deliver greater precision, efficiency and control. By converting real-time data into a clear operational picture, Applied Integration has created a solution that redefines how AMR fleets are managed in modern industrial environments.
